Reserve Firefighter/EMT
Tubac Fire District is recruiting to hire reserve Firefighter/EMT’s for part-time employment. Applicants must have EMT-B certification and State of Arizona FF I/II certified, or willing to complete a Firefighter I/II Academy. Tubac Fire District will sponsor up to two candidates for a Firefighter I/II Academy.
Established in 1974 and operating out of four fire stations, the Tubac Fire District provides fire and emergency medical services, which include fire suppression & wildland firefighting, emergency medical response, rescue, fire prevention, public education and non-emergency services such as venomous creature removal.

Hourly Rate:
Reserve Firefighter/EMT
$13.75/hour
Minimum Qualifications:
18 years old at time of application
Valid Arizona driver’s license
High School graduate or GED
State of Arizona Firefighter I and II or willing to complete a FF I/II Academy
National Registry EMT-B
Must successfully complete a job-related physical and medical evaluation
Must successfully pass a routine drug screen and background investigation
Selection Process
Following the closing date, all application packets will be reviewed and evaluated based upon the qualifications and criteria outlined in this information packet. Those candidates that the District determines to be best qualified will be invited to participate in the selection process. The selection process will consist of an oral interview and Fire Chief interview.
